Connect an agent (MCP)

Connect an agent by signing in

Let Claude Code or Codex work in Meridian by signing in with your account.

You can connect an agent tool that speaks Model Context Protocol (MCP), so it can read and change your loops. Any workspace member can connect one. The agent acts as you, with your access and nothing more.

Signing in is the recommended way for Claude Code, Codex and Claude on the web. For Cursor, OpenCode and other tools, see Connect with an API key. For Claude on the web, see Connect Claude on the web.

Open the connect page

  1. Select User options, your picture at the bottom of the left sidebar.
  2. Select Connect an agent.

Connect Claude Code

  1. Under Which tool?, select Claude Code.
  2. Under How do you want to connect?, select OAuth sign-in.
  3. Select Show sign-in steps.
  4. Select Copy command and run the command in your terminal. It adds Meridian to Claude Code as a server named meridian.
  5. In Claude Code, run /mcp and sign in when the browser tab opens.

You can instead select Copy setup prompt for Claude Code and paste the prompt into Claude Code, which then sets itself up.

Connect Codex

  1. Under Which tool?, select Codex.
  2. Under How do you want to connect?, select OAuth sign-in.
  3. Select Show sign-in steps.
  4. Select Copy command and add the block to ~/.codex/config.toml.
  5. Run codex mcp login meridian. It opens a browser tab to sign in.

Once you approve the sign-in, the tool is listed under Agents signed in with your account. See Manage your connected agents.
